SVPCO Image Volume Jumped in February

The volume of images exchanged on the SVPCO network more than doubled last month from a year earlier, to 350 million, as another financial company began using the system.

The Clearing House Payments Co. LLC, which operates the network, said Tuesday the dollar value of its check images climbed 94%, to $547 billion.

Astoria Financial Corp. of Lake Success, N.Y., began delivering images to other banking companies last month through the network. Twenty-three banks and credit unions and the Federal Reserve Board send images through SVPCO.
