Citigroup Inc. said Monday that its global transaction services division has received the bank readiness certification from the international bank consortium Swift.

"Because of our vast global footprint, Citi is able to bring bank network connectivity to more customers in more countries, making the advantages of Swift more accessible," Michael Knorr, the global head of connectivity services and capabilities for Citi's global transaction services business, said in a press release.
