Tech Bytes: NationsBank Chooses Firm for Call Center

NationsBank Corp. has signed a letter of agreement with Premiere Technologies Inc. to help meet the technology needs of the bank's expanding call center.

Premiere, an Atlanta-based company founded in 1991, markets network management software and other telecommunications equipment.

Under the agreement, Premiere will provide equipment, software, and programming support to NationsBank's customer service centers.

NationsBank's call centers field more than 100 million calls a year, and the company expects volume to continue to grow. Using Premiere's telephone banking platform, NationsBank will offer its customers one nationwide telephone number for checking account information.
