Tech Bytes: Web Veteran Hired as Entegrity Marketing VP

Internet technology veteran Michelle Arden has been named vice president of worldwide marketing at Entegrity Solutions Corp.

Ms. Arden, a former director of business operations in Sun Microsystems Inc.'s Internet commerce group, will have general strategic responsibilities. She will develop alliances-such as those Entegrity recently announced with GTE Cybertrust Solutions and International Business Machines Corp.-to deliver comprehensive security systems for on-line commerce.

Entegrity is a privately held, venture-capital-funded data security company that has been expanding rapidly and expects to capitalize on growth in the public key infrastructure market as more business functions go on- line, said president and chief executive officer Dave Martin.,

Entegrity "has the potential to grow as fast as the PKI market," Ms. Arden said. "Everything-global infrastructure, management, development teams-is in place to maximize that potential."

Before joining Entegrity, Ms. Arden was vice president and general manager of Novell's border services group. She had been vice president of marketing and business development for Intertrust Technologies Corp.
