Tech Type: Bush, Schwarzkopf Set To Address Conference

DALLAS - Former president George Bush and Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf will serve as the keynote speakers for Sterling Software's customer conference.

The conference, scheduled for May 23-25 in New Orleans, will also feature presentations from Sterling's principal operating groups, including the electronic commerce group and the banking systems division.

Many of the conference sessions will focus on financial electronic data interchange, in which banks handle electronic payments made to corporate accounts.

Other sessions will concentrate on item processing, electronic check presentment, and check fraud control.

Sterling has provided banking software since 1976. Its products are used by 500 of the nation's top financial institutions.
