ST Financial Group in College Station, Texas, has raised $15.1 million in capital through a private offering.
Commerce Street Capital in Dallas aided the $189 million-asset Houston-area bank. ST plans to use some of the funds to open a branch. The majority of the capital was raised Dec. 7 from individual investors.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
