Tio Networks Corp. of Burnaby, British Columbia, said Tuesday it is offering walk-in bill-payment services to customers of Global Payments Inc.'s money-transfer unit, DolEx Dollar Express Inc.
Tio said it has tied its bill-payment interface to DolEx's remittance system, initially for three large communication companies.
DolEx says it has hundreds of U.S. branches, concentrated in areas with large Latino populations, and has settlement arrangements with thousands of banks, exchange houses, and retail locations in Latin America.
Tio has with more than 10,000 endpoints in its processing network, mainly telephone companies and cable and utility billers.
