Tompkins in N.Y. Prepares for New Bank Chief

Tompkins Financial in Ithaca, N.Y., will soon have a new leader for its Bank of Castile.

John McKenna is set to become the president and chief executive of the $1.1 billion-asset bank on Jan. 1. He will succeed the retiring James Fulmer, who has led the bank since 1988. The succession plan was first announced at the end of July.

Fulmer will remain the bank's chairman and vice chairman of the parent company.
