Ukrainian Credit Union of Toronto has agreed to use a core banking application from Fiserv Inc.
The Brookfield, Wis., technology vendor said last week that Ukrainian would use the iSpectrum application from Summit Financial Technologies Canada, a unit of Fiserv Solutions of Canada Inc.
The $360 million-asset credit union, whose membership base includes many people from Ukraine and other Eastern European countries and former Soviet republics, said that it was attracted to the iSpectrum application's multilanguage and foreign currency capabilities.
Members can open accounts, write checks, and make loan payments in several foreign currencies, and they can opt to receive statements and view the credit union's Web site in multiple languages.
Ukrainian Credit Union also plans to install Fiserv's ConvergelVR phone banking product, which will enable people to use the automated voice banking system in Ukrainian.
