Triad, based in Winston-Salem, N.C., said net premiums for the 1995 quarter were up 20% from a year earlier, fueled by more coverage and products with higher premiums. The company wrote $493 million of insurance in the quarter, 17% more than a year earlier. Refinancings accounted for 12% , up from 5%.
