U.S. Bank in Minneapolis announced Thursday that it has named Kurt Adams as head of its Corporate Payments Systems unit, replacing Robert Abele, who is retiring at the end of June.
Adams joined U.S, Bank in 2005 and had most recently worked under Abele as Corporate Payments' head of strategy and program management. Before that he headed European strategy and planning for U.S. Bank's Elavon Merchants Services division, based in Dublin.
Abele has been with U.S. Bank since 1991 and has headed Corporate Payments Systems for 12 years. Under Abele, the unit averaged 9% annual revenue growth, U.S. bank said in a news release.
U.S. Bank Corporate Payments Systems issues corporate, government, purchasing, fleet and aviation cards, along with business-to-business payments products.
