VeriFone (PAY) announced Monday the appointment of a new chief financial officer.
Marc E. Rothman, a former chief financial officer at Motorola (MSI), is now an executive vice president and the terminal maker's CFO. He will be replacing Robert Dykes, 63, who will be retiring from his post at the end of the month.
"Rothman's experience leading financial strategy and governance, along with his global experience helping to build operations, particularly in emerging markets as both the CFO of Motorola Mobility and in senior finance roles within Motorola, Inc., aligns extremely well with VeriFone's goals," said VeriFone Chief Executive Officer Douglas G. Bergeron in a press release.
In addition, the San Jose company said it appointed Jay Parsons its senior vice president of digital media and taxi operations.
VeriFone also announced the retirement of its vice chairman, Elmore Waller, 63.
