Visa to Offer Prepaid Reloading at ATMs

People with Visa Inc. reloadable prepaid cards will soon be able to add funds at automated teller machines.

The San Francisco company said last week that cardholders will be able to reload eligible cards at envelope-free ATMs connected to its ReadyLink prepaid card network starting this fall. Cardholders currently can reload the cards at more than 7,000 merchant locations.

By offering reloading capabilities at ATMs, "we can provide a much safer and easier alternative for cardholders," Brian Triplett, Visa's global head of prepaid products, said in a press release.
