Sen. Elizabeth Warren renewed her inquiry Tuesday into whether government officials have conducted any analysis into the trade-offs of settling an enforcement action without requiring an admission of guilt versus going to trial.

WASHINGTON The publisher Henry Holt and Co. announced Wednesday that Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts senator and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau founder, will write a book about her meteoric rise and the "conflict America now faces between giant institutions and the needs of everyday citizens." The book will be published in the spring of 2014.
The book is expected to include details about Warren's 2012 Senate campaign, "her fight to establish the" CFPB and "her battles with lobbyists over bankruptcy regulations," among other topics, the publisher said in a press release.
"Elizabeth Warren is a rare person in today's political world: a fiery advocate who believes that David can beat Goliath," said Stephen Rubin, president and publisher of Henry Holt, a division of Macmillan, in the press release. "Her core belief in the power of everyday citizens, along with her front row seat in Washington and her invaluable experiences as a teacher, lawyer, senator, wife and mother, show a devotion and fearlessness that will come though on every page of an elegant and informative book."
In the release, Warren said she is "eager to tell the story about my experiences on the frontlines of policymaking and to talk about what has happened to working families in this country and how we work together to rebuild the middle class."
