Wells Fargo & Co. has added budgeting tools to its consumer online banking service.

The San Francisco company said Wednesday that in addition to spending categorization and charts, its oline banking service now offers tools designed to help consumers set budgets and savings goals.

"Budgeting is a high priority for many of our customers in today's economic environment," Teddy De Rivera, the head of online banking and investments in Wells' Internet services group, said in a press release.
