Worthen Unit Names Oldham To Presidency

Frank Oldham has been elected president and chief operating officer of Worthen National Bank of Conway, Ark., a subsidiary of Worthen Banking Corp., Little Rock.

He assumes the presidency from Bill J. Daugherty, who has become vice chairman of the board and chief administrative officer.

Mr. Oldham joins Marlin D. Jackson, chairman, and Mr. Daugherty on the executive management team.

Mr. Oldham has been president and chief executive officer for Mid South Bancshares Inc., a bank holding company in Paragould, Ark., since 1986. In addition to his duties there, he served since 1983 as chairman of the board of Security Bank and First Family Life Insurance Co., and was president of the Profit Consultants Inc., all of Paragould. He also served as chairman of the board for Farmers and Merchants Bank of Reyno, Ark.

He is chairman of the Bank Administration Institute in Chicago and past chairman of the Arkansas Association of Bank Holding Companies.

Mr. Daugherty has been with the Conway bank since 1973 and has served as executive vice president, president, director, and secretary to the board of directors. Before joining Worthen, he was a vice president at Union National Bank in Little Rock. He serves as a director for the Conway Development Corp., Goodwill Industries of Arkansas, and the Faulkner County Fair Association.
