Re: "Hopeful Signs on Credit Belie 'Flattish' Loan Demand, Top Bankers Say":

Banks need to wake up and smell their burning coffee. Small business loan demand is weak but for reasons most banks refuse to admit to this day: unreasonable loan terms. The day banks start honoring their pre-Tarp contractual obligations to fund small business loans on reasonable covenants and interest rates and not based upon their self-imposed eggregious high "floor" interest rates, which are up to double their prior contractual rates, is the day we will start borrowing again!
