Merchants that use 3Delta Systems Inc.'s online-payment gateway to accept American Express cards now can provide line-item details of corporate card transactions, known as level 3 data, Rick Ricker, director of operations at Chantilly, Va.-based 3Delta, tells CardLine. AmEx recently certified 3Delta to process online-merchant transactions directly through the AmEx card-authorization and processing network, Ricker says. This capability is especially important for purchasing cards because corporate card managers require detailed purchase information, such as item descriptions, quantity, unit price and invoice numbers, he says.
