ACI collaborates with BioCatch for behavioral fraud-screening

ACI Worldwide is the latest to adopt technology from Israel-based BioCatch that monitors shoppers’ behavior to spot irregularities signaling potential fraud.

ACI will add BioCatch’s real-time assessment tool to its payments risk management product to monitor customers shopping online and in the mobile channel in real time to identify fraud risks without disrupting the user experience, ACI said in a Monday press release.

BioCatch’s technology works in the background to distinguish legitimate shoppers from fraudsters and their automated bots by analyzing behavior and flagging suspicious patterns.

“New and emerging online threats such as account takeover, social engineering and robotic activity are difficult to keep up with while pursuing an enriched customer experience,” said Cleber Martins, ACI Worldwide’s global director of payments intelligence and risk solutions, in a release. ACI will extend BioCatch’s tools as part of its enterprise risk management solutions.

Experian and LexisNexis Risk Solutions previously announced plans to adopt BioCatch’s solutions to spot criminal activity during the shopping process.
