Appetize Scores Stadium Deals with Rams, Other Venues

Appetize will soon install its point-of-sale platform into more major sports and entertainment venues in California through a partnership with Legends.

Legends, which provides sales, ticketing and other software unique to the sports and entertainment industries, will incorporate the Appetize POS, mobile ordering and inventory features into its services.

Under the Legends contract, Appetize will install the system at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, home of the L.A. Rams, in addition to the new Golden 1 Center in Sacramento and The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. Future rollouts are planned at other Legends properties in North America.

The deal comes on the heels of a 25-amphitheatre, 4,500-unit rollout for Los Angeles-based Appetize in connection with Live Nation in 2015.

Appetize’s software decreases transactions times through a faster front-end interface, while providing backend inventory, reporting, and its menu management suite, Appetize Connect.

“With Appetize, Legends will continue to push the envelope in redefining what the ordering process looks like in-venue,” Kevin Anderson, co-founder of Appetize, stated in a Sept. 1 press release.

Appetize currently works with more than 400 venues. The platform provides several products for operators, managers and guests at a sports venue, including a back-end suite for reporting, inventory and timekeeping.

Two months ago, the company landed the POS terminal contract at the new U.S. Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
