Bank of China (Hong Kong) says it plans to issue its first dual-currency credit card in Hong Kong in the first week of January. The banks will market the card, which will carry the China UnionPay brand, to Hong Kong residents who often visit mainland China or who make business trips abroad, Bank of China says in a statement. The card will come in gold and platinum varieties. The bank says it plans to waive three years of annual fees for initial cardholders, though the bank did not say what the card fee will be. Consumers can use the card for transactions in Chinese yuan and Hong Kong dollars.
