Two years after launching
Bento will leverage i2c’s Agile Processing platform to introduce two-way alerts and digital dashboards, enabling employees and managers to instantly track and monitor expenses to help workers stay within budgets, according to a Tuesday press release.
Marqeta was Bento’s payments processor at its launch in 2015.
The i2c cloud-based platform supports global processing for credit, debit and prepaid solutions in plastic, virtual and mobile forms with a set of tools enabling end users to customize their own use cases, said Amir Wain, i2c’s founder and CEO.
“Because it’s so hard to predict the future, i2c’s approach gives customers the building blocks needed to create their own global, scalable feature sets. We provide some web tools, while the complexity of the underlying payment infrastructure is hidden,” Wain said.
Bento expects the integration with i2c to accelerate its product innovations for small businesses.
“Managing employee expenses is an important but time-consuming process for small business owners whose time could be better spent focusing on growing their businesses,” said Farhan Ahmad, Bento’s CEO, in the release.
