BillGO says it has seen a 65% jump in customers signing up for its bill-pay app since its launch in late October, and it predicts a payment processor partnership with GlobalOnePay will bring scale it hadn't previously enjoyed.
Hong Kong-based GlobalOnePay will handle the automated subscription bill process through its gateway, helping BillGO expand its user base and reduce the time and cost of managing accounts.
GlobalOnePay also provides transaction billing with both Apple Pay and Android Pay, bringing more options to BillGO users.
Fort Collins, Colo.-based BillGO allows users to manage upcoming bill payments through multiple methods and have the option to split bills with friends. The app also sends reminders about bills and can add new bills through photos or e-mail.
“We are excited to welcome GlobalOnePay as our official payment processor," Dan Holt, co-founder and CEO of BillGO, stated in a Dec. 29 press release. "Along with enhancing our payment capabilities, our development team found it extremely simple to integrate its feature-rich platform into our app.”
The GlobalOnePay gateway will allow BillGO users to enter their billing information only once, speeding up authorization of tokenized credit card payments. The company's auto account updater handles future address or card number changes, which reduces transaction declines and interruptions in billing.
“Our continued investment in payment gateway technology ensures we stay at the forefront of the industry, giving us the ability to support more innovative applications such as BillGO,” John Hughes, general manager of GlobalOnePay, said in the release. "Our global payment gateway provides high performance and reliability, and we are thrilled to play an essential role in BillGO’s processing of payments and user acquisition growth strategy."
