Bluebird Soft Inc. this week plans to unveil a portable point-of-sale terminal at the Retail Asia Expo in Hong Kong, the mobile computing manufacturer announced June 14.
The 3.5-inch Pidion BPL-10 terminal is designed for both indoor fitting and sales on the go, and it has a built-in Windows CE Core 5.0 operating system, the South Korea-based company noted in a press release.
The company plans to release the terminal in the fourth quarter, and it will work out such details as price, transaction fees and distribution methods as the launch date gets closer, Davis Song, business development manager at Bluebird Soft’s New Jersey office, said in a phone interview.
