The airline has chosen Accertify Inc. to protect the card information using its fraud-prevention software, the Chicago-based company announced July 10.

A unit of American Express Inc., Accertify has helped large and small airline companies deal with fraud migration that generally has moved from banks to the airline industry in the past few years.

The company designed its fraud-prevention software from the perspective of an online merchant, Michael Long, Accertify vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions, said in a press release.

“Accertify provides the first [complete software] that addresses the entire business process of combating fraud, from card-not present purchases to online scams, policy abuse and other data management challenges,” Long said.
