Canadas Home Trust Picks Gemalto For EMV Conversion

Home Trust Co., a Canadian issuer of Visa-branded credit cards and one of Canada’s leading trust companies, has chosen Gemalto to manage its conversion from magnetic-stripe to EMV chip-and-PIN cards, the France-based chip card maker announced July 27. Terms were not disclosed.

Gemalto is providing the microprocessor payment cards, data preparation, card personalization and fulfillment from its facility in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Gemalto also will train Home Trust staff in all activities related to the EMV migration, the company said in its announcement.
