Retail ATM provider Cardtronics Inc. will allow customers of BBVA Compass free access to 178 Cardtronics-owned ATMs in Colorado as part of a new branding relationship with the Birmingham, Ala.-based bank.
The agreement allows BBVA Compass to expand its fee-free ATM capabilities, primarily in Denver and Colorado Springs, after choosing Valero Corner and Safeway stores from the Cardtronics portfolio as locations for the bank-branded ATMs.
In addition, each of the 12 Costco store locations in Colorado will have a Cardtronics-owned, BBVA Compass-branded ATM.
The bank-branded ATMs are currently available in all of the selected retail locations, Houston, Texas-based Cardtronics stated in a Dec. 4 press release.
"These additional ATMs give our customers convenient and fee-free access to cash in a retail environment, where they're most likely to need it," Andy Hernandez, executive vice president of the ATM and online channel at BBVA Compass, stated in the release.
