More consumers will soon be able to withdraw cash at ATMs by using their mobile phones as a remote control via Cardtronics, which has decided to extend
Cardtronics will install the solution from Jacksonville, Fla.-based Fidelity National Information Services at ATMs located within major banks and retail outlets nationwide, the companies said Wednesday.
“Our goal is to make mobile-centric access to cash a ubiquitous experience,” said Doug Brown, senior vice president and general manager of FIS Mobile, said in a press release.
Houston-based Cardtronics said FIS’ mobile ATM app provides a higher level of security by reducing the risk of criminals skimming card data or intercepting passwords.
