China Everbright Bank Ltd. has chosen Fair Isaac Corp., commonly known as FICO, to provide a customer-management system for its credit card business, a sign of increased efforts to bring better processes to the local card industry.
The Beijing-based bank will use the company’s proprietary FICO Triad Customer Manager system to identify prospects for cross-selling and to improve responsiveness to cardholders, thereby increasing customer satisfaction, the bank said in a June 21 press release.
Triad enables issuers to design and implement credit-decision and customer-treatment strategies to improve portfolio performance, FICO contends. Client results with Triad include up to a 30% increase in revenues, up to a 25% decrease in delinquencies and up to a 25% increase in interest income, the company claimed in the release.
FICO has worked with China Everbright on risk-management projects, but Triad is its first engagement with the bank’s credit card operation, according to the release.
Both companies declined to comment beyond what was in the release.
