, on the launch of the Club Sobeys loyalty program and the companion Club Sobeys MasterCard in its banner stores in

Club Sobeys is unique in Canadian grocery retailing because of the variety of ways customers can collect and redeem the points they collect. Members simply swipe their card every time they shop in Sobeys stores in
Ontario
and
Western Canada
to earn one point for every dollar spent, with additional opportunities to earn bonus points through in-store product promotions. Club Sobeys points are redeemable for rewards ranging from instant in-store savings at check-out, food-related rewards from the online catalogue or automatic conversion of points to Aeroplan miles.
Sobeys customers can also accelerate their point earning with the no-fee Club Sobeys MasterCard, allowing them to earn Club Sobeys points whenever, and wherever they use the card. Plus, when the Club Sobeys MasterCard is used for purchases at Sobeys stores in
Ontario
and
Western Canada
, along with their Club Sobeys card, customers earn double the points - two points for every dollar spent.
