Citibank India launched Monday a credit card rewards program with Travelguru, an India-based Internet travel agency. Citibank credit cardholders receive discounts and rewards points when they use their cards to book travel and hotel deals with Travelguru. Cardholders receive a RS5,000 (US$100) voucher when they first register their card on the Web site. "Due to work commitments and time constraints, customers have begun to seek out holiday planning solutions that give them choice and convenience at their fingertips," Sandeep Bhalla, business manager of cards with the Citibank India, tells CardLine Global. "This is why Citibank has designed an exclusive program with Travelguru for our card members, aimed at enhancing the joy of being with family." Travelguru is associated with 4,000 hotels in India and 72,000 hotels worldwide.
