ControlScan will partner with London-based Foregenix to expand its payment data security compliance services into Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The strategic alliance with Foregenix will allow Atlanta-based ControlScan to provide its services for small and mid-size business customers of acquiring banks and merchant service providers in those regions, the companies announced Dec. 12.
Foregenix has experience conducting Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard compliance and security-related assessments as well as post-breach investigations throughout the EMEA region. Acquiring banks and merchant service providers rely on companies like ControlScan and Foregenix to reduce risk when working with small merchants.
"The strategic alliance between ControlScan and Foregenix represents a significant combination of payment security expertise, delivered on an international scale," said Joan Herbig, CEO of ControlScan, in a press release. "ControlScan's entrance into the global marketplace is a natural progression; data thieves don't operate on a localized basis and neither should the effort to stop them."
The agreement allows Foregenix to extend ControlScan's PCI compliance cloud-based services and online payment offerings to clients in the EMEA region. ControlScan compliance services help the merchants analyze and validate compliance with a simplified self-assessment questionnaire, vulnerability scanning and security awareness training.
