AmeriQuest Business Services and Corcentric are combining their business-to-business payments and procurement solutions under the single name of Corcentric to reflect business users’ centralized payment needs.
Corporations that rely on Corcentric for corporate payments and AmeriQuest for procurement may now receive both through a unified service, according to a Monday press release. AmeriQuest acquired Corcentric in 2002.
“The B-to-B world is recognizing that unification of finance with procurement is a mandatory element of competitiveness,” said Doug Clark, Corcentric’s chairman and CEO, via email. “As business leaders work toward a strategic ‘procure-to-pay’ environment, problems arise that only a holistic approach can solve by aligning people, processes and technology within procurement and finance to be responsive to each other.”
As part of the shift, Clark became chairman, relinquishing the title of president to Matt Clark, who will continue to be chief operating officer, the release said.
