Payments-software provider ACI Worldwide Inc. on Sept. 8 announced an extension and a broadening of its contract agreement with First Data Corp. The new agreement will enable the Atlanta-based transaction processor to more cost effectively develop products and drive infrastructure efficiencies in its global operations, ACI notes in a news release.
Terms of the multiyear agreement were not disclosed.
First Data uses Omaha, Neb.-based ACI’s Base24-eps, Base24 and Proactive Risk Management software to support a wide range of payment-processing and fraud-management services.
BASE24-eps is an integrated payment engine to acquire, authenticate, route, switch and authorize financial transactions across multiple channels. ACI Proactive Risk Manager is a comprehensive fraud-detection service to help card issuers, merchants, acquirers and financial institutions combat fraud. Base24 supports electronic funds transfer switching and processing services.
