First Data Corp. has added technology from Perka, its customer loyalty subsidiary, to its Clover Station point of sale tablets.
The Perka app uses location tracking to administer customer loyalty programs. Shoppers can redeem rewards and incentives by checking in at a merchant's location. The merchant, in turn, uses the app to validate the customer's purchases.
