Global Axcess Corp. has completed two acquisitions that will expand its ATM and DVD kiosk businesses, the self-service kiosk provider announced Jan. 14.
The Jacksonville, Fla.-based company closed the asset purchase of a portfolio of 140 ATMs from an undisclosed, privately held “nationwide network of automated financial service terminals” in a deal that became effective Dec. 1, Global Axcess noted in a news release. Also, effective Jan. 1, it completed the acquisition of Tejas Video Partners, a privately held firm operating in the unattended DVD rental kiosk business.
The ATM purchase includes terminals and the existing relationships with a large, global oil and gas company to manage its machines at service-station locations in three Midwestern states.
