The hyperWallet payment platform allows corporate users to remain compliant with India's laws when they handle payments through Indian bank accounts, hyperWallet says in a May 14 press release.

"India … has historically been a difficult payment destination for many global corporations that need to pay individuals in-country", says Mike Monty, hyperWallet's vice president of financial networks, in the release.

Its technology supports online e-wallets, bank deposits, prepaid cards, cash pickup and mobile payments.

India has been an attractive market for other payment companies, including Xoom and BlueSnap. The country is also developing its own payments network, called RuPay.
