India’s ICICI Bank Ltd. has reached an agreement with Kingfisher Airlines Ltd. to launch a cobranded credit card, the Mumbai-based airline announced Sept. 15.
The MasterCard-branded card is available now in three variants–World, Platinum and Titanium, the airline noted in a statement. The bank and airline are charging no application or annual fees for the credit card.
Kingfisher automatically will enroll approved card applicants in King Club, the airline’s frequent-flyer program, and give them 10,000 bonus King Miles. Cardholders also may earn up to 27 air miles for every 200 rupees (US$4.32 or 3.32 euros) they spend on the card they can redeem for free Kingfisher flight tickets and upgrade vouchers.
ICICI Bank is India’s second-largest credit card issuer after state-owned State Bank of India Ltd. Kingfisher is India’s largest airlines based on number of passengers carried.
