SpiceJet has signed a deal with the State Bank of India to issue a new cobranded credit card, a spokesperson for the India-based airline tells CardLine Global. Consumers receive a free SpiceJet ticket when they are approved for the MasterCard-branded card. Cardholders also receive 7.5% of each sale back as a reward toward more airline tickets, the spokesperson says. The card carries an annual fee of 250 rupees (US$5.30 or 3.60 euros). In India, Citibank and Jet Airways already issue a cobranded credit card.
