Two point-of-sale terminal makers recently introduced new products or updates to their product lines.
France-based Ingenico S.A.’s new iPP320 and iPP350 PIN pads include integrated contactless, magnetic stripe and contact smart card readers. The iPP320 has a monochrome screen and the iPP350 a color screen, and merchants may install either on a counter or with a movable arm.
The devices also feature LED lighting near the three readers to indicate where shoppers should use their cards.
Meanwhile, Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Hypercom Corp. says its L5300 and L5400 multilane POS terminals have achieved compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. The company announced the products earlier this year (
Merchants may connect either device to any POS register via a variety of connection methods, Hypercom says. The L5300 multilane terminal has a 5.7-inch touchscreen, and the L5400 is a keypadless version merchants may use as a barcode scanner for price checks in shopping aisles.
