Ingenico strengthens digital B2B payments to aid merchants hurt by the pandemic

Viewing it as a way to help businesses emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, Ingenico is targeting digital merchants with expanded services addressing cross border, recurring and subscription payments.

The Paris-based terminal and payments technology provider built new offerings for online consumers seeking fast, mobile and secure payments through a preferred payment method and currency.

The services allow digital businesses to accept cross-border payments at scale, through more than 150 payment methods and currencies, as well as local payment processing solutions in fast-growing markets like Russia, China and Latin America.

It will also help companies with recurring payments with a suite built for digital subscribers that will increase authorization rates for cross-border payments, Ingenico said. For subscription payments, Ingenico offers an integration with leading billing systems.

Ingenico has partnered with subscription and billing providers Zuora, Aria Systems, Vindicia and SAP to support the businesses with their payment needs.

"We are seeing a clear shift to digital in our everyday lives with more and more consumers turning to this medium for a variety of everyday needs," Andrew Monroe, general manager for North America at Ingenico ePayments, said in a Thursday press release. "So, it is important that we help our digital businesses scale, increase their conversions and ensure their customers have easy and secure payments that match the offering they are purchasing."
