Inside Contactless and Dynamic Card Solutions have entered into a partnership to enable financial institutions to issue contactless cards, mobile-payment stickers and mobile-payment peripheral devices instantly, the companies announced this week. The France-based contactless-technology vendor and U.S.-based firm that sells CardWizard software that enables banks to issue credit and debit cards instantly at branches will work together to provide systems with which card issuers can instantly personalize and use mobile-payment technology based on Inside's MicroPass 4000 contactless and dual-interface MicroPass 6000 payment chip cards. "Because of this partnership, banks will be able to deliver MicroPass-enabled cards, mobile-handset stickers and other new mobile-payment peripheral devices into the hands of their customers more quickly, easily and securely," Charles Walton, Inside Contactless executive vice president, said in a statement. Customers who use Dynamic Card Solutions' instant branch PIN-change or instant-issuance products for mag-stripe or EMV payment cards can upgrade to support the vendor's contactless products, the companies said. Any market looking for added convenience and high technology likely will adopt the technology, contends Ron Zanotti, Dynamic Card Solutions senior vice president. "It will probably we adopted and targeted for the more adventurous youth market."
