International Cards Signs Cobranding Deal With Jordanian Lender

International Cards Co. Ltd. has inked a deal with Jordan Trade Facilities Co. Ltd. to launch a cobranded credit card. The MasterCard-branded, EMV-compliant chip card will become available later this month, according to Jordan Trade Facilities.

Established in 1999, International Cards is a principal member of MasterCard Worldwide and a super agent for MoneyGram International. Jordan Trade Facilities is a Jordan-based public shareholding company that provides trade loans for buyers of consumer durable goods, passenger cars, real estate and other assets.

The mutual decision to develop a partnership between the card company and the lender is a result of their common interest to develop new and innovative payment services, according to a Jordan Trade Facilities statement.

Consumers may use the card at any of the 30 million merchant locations and 1.5 million ATMs in Jordan and abroad within MasterCard network.

Officials from both companies could not be reached for comment by PaymentsSource deadline.
