Jack Henry's Banno Integration Adds a Dash of Payments to Bank Tech

Payment processor and financial services technology provider Jack Henry & Associates has integrated its Banno Mobile application into its bank and credit union core platforms to streamline access to mobile banking, bill payment and person-to-person payments.

More than 80 financial institutions have committed to offering Banno Mobile in its core systems, such as Jack Henry Banking, with 30 of those already live with the service.

In addition to Jack Henry Banking, other core JHA systems in which Banno Mobile will operate include Symitar, Episys, SilverLake System, CIF 20/20 and Core Director.

"This doesn't mean simply having the most features," David Foss, president and CEO of Jack Henry & Associates, said about the mobile integration. "It means delivering an impressionable experience."

Through Banno Mobile, banks and credit unions can provide "a sophisticated, relevant experience that strengthens customer engagement and attracts new, lasting relationships," Foss said in a Sept. 13 press release.

In addition to bill paying and P-to-P payments through mobile devices, Banno Mobile allows banks to provide users with debit card management tools, marketing messages, remote deposit capture, transfers and account aggregation.

Monett, Mo.-based Jack Henry continues to develop payments technology to meet current trends in financial services.

Earlier this year, the company began working with The Clearing House to assure its bank clients would have access to secure real-time payments as those initiatives begin to take hold.

The Clearing House has developed its own faster payments rails to complement other systems and programs that banks have in place as the transition to real time continues.
