Jumio Inc. has released an Android version of its Netswipe Mobile technology for accepting card payments with a phone's camera.
Businesses that add the payment method to its mobile app checkout process can see an increase in conversions up to 20%, Jumio says. The technology is designed to also eliminate errors in key entry and reduce fraud.
“Merchants devote so much money and resources to get consumers to the point of check out on mobile sites and apps, and can’t afford to see them abandon their shopping cart,” says Daniel Mattes, founder and CEO of Jumio, in a Jan. 15 press release. “Now, Netswipe can be integrated into any Android app to increase conversions by shortening mobile checkout times as well as making payments more secure and convenient for users.”
Jumio released the iOS version of the Netswipe app last year and quickly picked up several customers.
Based in Palo Alto, Calif., Jumio was founded in 2010.
