Lazare Adds Chairman Title At Ingenico

Ingenico SA this week added the chairman title to CEO Philippe Lazare’s role at the France-based point-of-sale terminal maker. Jacques Stern, who had been Ingenico’s chairman since 2007, remains a director of the company.

Ingenico made the change to “help the company simplify its decision-making processes and to raise operational efficiency,” the company says in a statement. Ingenico named Lazare, an Ingenico board member since 2005, CEO in 2007. Before joining Ingenico, he was a deputy managing director at Groupe la Poste, France’s mail service.

Ingenico released its preliminary 2009 results Wednesday (see story).
