Michigan Credit Union Recalls 450 Possibly Compromised Visa Cards

Elga Credit Union recalled about 450 Visa cards and discovered thousands of dollars in fraudulent transactions after being notified by the card company they may have been compromised.

A Visa alert indicated that a third-party retailer detected a security breach within its processing network.

The Burton, Mich.-based credit union decided to block and reissue 450 cards and called affected members over last weekend.
