ATM manufacturer NCR Corp. is in the process of informing employees in Dayton, Ohio, whether they will be offered jobs at the company's new headquarters in Duluth, Ga. "We are providing support for relocation," Peter Tulupman, an NCR spokesperson, wrote CardLine sister publication ATM&Debit News in an e-mail message. Employees not being offered jobs in Duluth will receive outplacement support through NCR's Career Transition Services, Tulupman says. NCR announced in June it was moving its headquarters to Duluth from Dayton, where the company was founded in 1884 as National Cash Register.NCR employs approximately 1,200 workers in Dayton, but by the end of 2010, when the move is complete, NCR will employ fewer than 100 there, Tulupman says. "Certain functions will remain in Dayton," he says. "These include sales, customer support and data center roles."
