NFinanSe Officially Launches Visa Prepaid Cards

IMGCAP(1)]

NFinanSe Inc. Tuesday announced it would launch a Visa–branded general-purpose prepaid debit card sold in Winn-Dixie Supermarkets next month. The Tampa, Fla.-based prepaid card provider is touting a package designed to make fees simpler for consumers to understand by noting the amounts on the back of the package. The card sells for $3 and does not impose any purchase-transaction fees. The maintenance and reload fee is $2.95, and ATM withdrawals cost $1.50 each, plus whatever fee the ATM owner might charge. The card features free payroll deposits, live customer service and phone text-message alerts with purchase and balance information after each transaction. Palm Desert (Calif.) National Bank issues the card. NFinanSe also offers Discover-branded reloadable prepaid cards, also issued by Palm Desert. The company soon plans to announce more retail locations selling the Visa card, according to a spokesperson.
