Norwegian Firm Acquires Ingenico Terminal Units

BBS A/S has acquired two payment-technology companies from France-based terminal vendor Ingenico S.A., the Norwegian payment-services provider owned by Nordic banks said Friday. BBS will take over Sagem Denmark A/S, which sells encryption technology for ATMs, payment terminals and other products, and Sagem Manison Finland. None of the companies responded to requests for comment Friday. Sagem Denmark has "several Nordic retail chains" plus a "leading position in the Danish market," according to statement from BBS. Sagem Manison "is a substantial player in the Finish market," the statement adds. The deal still needs the approval of Norway's Financial Supervisory Authority.
